Wheel of Life is an activity and tool that is highly recommended. It only takes a few minutes and allows you to put all of yourself - and your self-awareness – in the context of your environment and eco-system; in one place. You are able to categorize and prioritize where you want to focus as you build your next steps.
Sometimes with coaching clients, we will do this monthly to see what is shifting. Things are always moving. Are we focusing on certain items and others drifting? Are we evening things out?

In the SCRUM world, you talk about it as a retrospective. You work on a piece of software, deliver it to the client and then everybody does a retrospective “How did we do?” You look at how you did on different things with tools to plot effectiveness, achievements and improvements.
This is like a retrospective for yourself. You figure out where you want to focus and then you repeat the exercise a few times to get further insight.
